Commissioning Home Manager - Acomb, York

St Mary's Care Group is excited to announce the opening of a new dementia care service in Acomb, York, and we are looking for an experienced Commissioning Home Manager to lead this initiative.

This is a unique opportunity to oversee the launch of a brand-new 66-bed residential dementia care home, scheduled to open later this year. We seek a motivated and commercially minded leader who excels in building successful services, developing high-performing teams, and delivering outstanding care outcomes.

As the Commissioning Home Manager, you will:
- Lead the commissioning and successful opening of the new service.
- Recruit, develop, and retain an exceptional team.
- Drive occupancy through relationship building and local networking.
- Ensure all operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
- Embed a culture of high-quality, person-centred dementia care.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Build strong links with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and the wider community.
- Prepare the home for registration and future inspections.

We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly care services.
- Proven commissioning experience within a new-build or newly opened care home.
- A strong understanding of dementia care and best practices.
- A successful track record of achieving occupancy and business growth targets.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance requirements.
- Passion, resilience, and the ability to drive a project from concept to success.
